I am excited to announce that Tales of Tessagonia: Books 1-6 is now available for libraries! My county library system has ordered copies, and your public library can order them as well! If you’re not sure how to request a title, here’s some information you might need.
Physical Copies
If you want to request that your library acquire a copy of a book you want, there are usually two ways to do so.
Option One
The first requires visiting the library’s website. You can usually find a form, which may be titled “Request for Purchase” or “Suggest a Purchase”. Here is some information you might need, using my title as an example!
Information you may be asked for:
- Info about you, the patron
- Your name
- Your library card number
- Your phone number or email
- Why you want the library to carry the item
- Info about the book
- Author (Mary W. Jensen)
- Title (Tales of Tessagonia: Books 1-6)
- ISBN (9781737643715)
- Publisher (Briarbook Lane Press)
- Publication year (2025)
If you’re not sure where to find the ISBN or Publisher, you can usually get that information on the book’s Amazon listing, under Details. Just make sure you are getting an ISBN for a print book, not the ASIN, which is an Amazon specific number.
Option Two
Ask your librarian! Librarians are awesome, and can fill out the request for you. In some libraries, this may be the only way to do so. Just make sure you have the title and author at minimum.

Libby (Digital copy)
If your library gives you access to Libby, you can request digital copies through the app.
- Click the magnifying glass and search for the book title (Tales of Tessagonia).
- Hit the Notify Me, or the bell icon.
- Add the Notify Me tag to the title.
- If you now see the yellow bell tag, you’re all set!
This sends a notice to your library that there is interest in the title, and also notifies you when the title is added to your library’s catalog.

Now it’s up to you! Go forth and request Tales of Tessagonia: Books 1-6 be purchased from your local libraries. If it gets picked up, I’d love to see your photos! Take a photo of you holding the library book, of it on display, or on the shelf. Then post to social media and tag me at either BriarbookLane or Mary W. Jensen, or email me at marywjensen@briarbooklane.com.
